The RAF's biggest event of the year.

9th-10th
Duxford, Cambridgeshire: Flying Legends 2005
If you can only attend one airshow this year then this has to be the one! Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mustangs, Corsairs and more - with the organisers always managing to throw in a surprise or two. Have a look at last year's event here.
15th-17th

The world’s largest military airshow - according to the Guinness Book of Records. This is a must attend event for anyone interested in modern military aviation.

Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria: Walney Airshow
Boasting an impressive list of participating aircraft, this looks like being an impressive display. The well designed website is worth visiting.
16th Old Warden, Beds: Shuttleworth Summer Evening Air Display
Shuttleworth evening displays can be wonderful events, especially when the weather cooperates! Have a look at photographs of last year's event here and you will see what I mean.

Another free seafront event, now in its second year.
23rd Duxford, Cambridgeshire: Flying Proms 2005

Chailey, East Sussex: Chailey Airshow
The Chailey Airshow was nothing short of a triumph last year for the organisers and a big highlight of the 2004 season. This years event has had to be cancelled but hopefully it will return in 2006. A review of the 2004 display is available here.

Currently the only airshow held in Devon, this event is part of the week long Dawlish Festival. The airshow itself is growing in stature year after year.

Moving from its traditional August Bank Holiday slot, the Yorkshire Air Show's theme this year will be "Military Might". Details are far from final at this point, but this event usually attracts an impressive array of aircraft.

A big 2-day event with all proceeds going to the Royal Air Force Association Charity. Recommended
3rd-4th Biggin Hill, Kent: Biggin Hill International Air Fair
The second 2-day event held in the south over this weekend, this event attracts one of the most impressive aircraft line-ups of the year. One to attend, but leave plenty of time for travel!
4th Old Warden, Beds: Shuttleworth Pageant Air Display
The biggest Shuttleworth event of the year, it is a great pity that this clashes with both Shoreham and Biggin Hill. A review of the 2003 event can be found here.

Expect to see a large gathering of Spitfires and Hurricanes for this event which is once again held over two days.

Held on Southport Seafront and with plenty of armed services support, this event promises to be impressive.
17th
RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset: Yeovilton Air Day
This event boasts a 5 hour air display and plenty of aircraft in the static park. Bad weather has affected participation for the last two years, so keep your fingers crossed for this one!
24th Old Warden, Beds: Old Warden, Beds
The final Shuttleworth evening display of the season - a sure sign that the evenings are starting to draw in!

October

2nd Old Warden, Beds: Shuttleworth Autumn Air Display
