Hangar 1 boasts not only an extensive collection of Military Aircraft but an increasing number of Civil Aircraft as well, maintained by the Duxford Aviation Society, a volunteer organisation who have done an excellent job building such an impressive collection. It is possible - for a small fee - to go inside some of these aircraft.
The majority of these pictures were taken at the Flying Legends Display in July 2003. There are some notable exceptions, however. The RE8, Spitfire 24 and Buccaneer were absent but I have included shots from 2002 for completeness. If you are planning a visit and want to view a particular aircraft it is alway worth contacting Duxford first!
